Skirt top

My mom has been sorting out her closet the past few days. She has 4 garbage bags of clothes for donation. I happen to be curious about the clothing so I went through the bags hoping to find some cool "vintage" stuff. Ha, unfortunately those where tossed out years ago said my mom. But I still managed to find 2 skirts that I can fit or make it fit on me. One of them does have a vintage vibe in them, but this one here is sort of . . yeah. . LOL

Looks gay when I wear it as a skirt. It was a bit too big I had to use an elastic belt to make it stay on me.
Surprisingly, the waist part of the skirt fitted my bust area!

So I tried it on as a top with different widths of belts.

What do you think? A whole new way to wear something. Ill fitted pieces of clothing can always be turned into something else :)

Brush cleaning

I'm on a makeup fast right now. . . Bare face and all since that's how I lived for 17 years of my life. And I have this annoying red bump on my forehead and two mosquito bite on the side of my cheek ): So I took the chance to clean my dirty brushes.
I used handsoap. Sorry babes, it was convenient :P Oh and there's olive oil. A plus to keep brushes nice and soft.

WOAH dirtyyy.
All cleaned

Beep beep

Hey guys! Guess what? I'm allowed on the highway now. :)

Wow, I just realized I'm listed as 150cm tall on my driver's licence. I'm no where near that height hehehe.

How is that possible

Like I said, I went shopping with my cousin the week before and I picked up a few tops. Well, I thought this colour top was perfect. I read the tag in the store and it said XS and for $6.95. So I had to take it. When I went up to the cashier, it turned out to be $13. But since I thought it was very cute, I still got it. When to my cousins place to try it on and it was too big. I looked at the tag and it said Medium. WTF. I swear it was XS. Perhaps I should return it. What do you think?

By the way, yesturday I watched the trailer for The Human Centipede. It has to be the most disturbing movie ever. I think it went to far with this thriller thing. It's just so wrong. What if people get ideas from watching this? :S

The new mini.

B put on the 50mm lenses on my dad's D90 yesturday. I had no idea how it would differ from all the other lenses. But so far, this is my favourite. B said it's for taking portraits. I don't have anyone but myself and I can't get the damn remote to work. So I couldn't try it out that afternoon.

So pretty, I like this one with the flash.

These two were taken with the 18-105mm lens.

Got to use Bish for my first snap of the mini lenses.

The camera is so much lighter this way. I might actually be able to bring it out with me now.

Time to check your emails :)

Yay! This time I spent enough to be part of the Pre-sale group :D Even though I just went to the store and checked out the sales... I want the free gift cause I'm a jew like that. LOL My date is actually a week behind my cousin's. However, since I went with her this morning, I already know what's in store and what the freebie is. Perhaps it is time to get that belt or that bustier top with matching bottom. Oh right, I checked out those Adidas Soccer sweaters and they are $90 each. Even with discount it's too expensive!

I did notice that Aritzia's clothing material has changed over time. I remember wayyy back before the hype, their TNA tank tops were very thick ribbed cotton. Now they are thinner and more colourful and they don't shrink anymore. Aritzia has lots of clothing that are very delicate such as organic cotton and viscose. If not hand washed with cold water, it's gonna shrink. ):

I used to be a big fan of tna. But now their logo is just too big and I guess I've grown out of the whole "wanting TNA plastered all over me" phase. I'm starting to really dig the Wilfred and Talula line. The price definitely sets me back. But it's so hard to find mature clothing that fits my petite frame, so it's nice to invest in some staple pieces for the closet.

When I'm not that tired, I'll blog about my loot for the day.

Joining the soccer craze

Okay, so the World cup is going on right now. I actually don't know what team I want to be on. I'm really bad with sports. What's an offside? Zidane headbutt what? I had to google that. So if I were to pick a team I'd probably go with South Korea (cause Koreans are the shit...) or Germany cause they played 4-0 with the aussies. Anyways, B is deciding to get a Germany sweater, so I want one too for the heck of it. LOL

Check out the ones Aritzia has in store. The link is under this picture. I'm expecting a hefty price tag which may affect my decision... Bummers, wished I shat money outta my ass.

Anywho, I'm off to the Aritzia vip sale :)

I'm starting to get bored.

Well, I don't have a paid job. I'm just a daughter that does her share of chores, and a girlfriend that occasionally cleans the bf's room (not that that's my job). I'm running out of things to do. I started gardening a few days ago. My tomatoes are still alive. I'm reading novels and Toronto Star again. I can't reorganize my room because I'm a weakling like that. Which brings up one of my new years resolution; to exercise.

If you put a pedometer (I read it as PEDO-meter AHAHAHA) on me, it will probably give me a count of 109 steps a day. No kidding, it will just count the steps I take to go to my kitchen. Despite taking physical education almost all four years of my high school, I'm not a big fan of working out. I need a plan that's easy to follow. Now I don't want to be all ripped and shit. I just want to say goodbye to flappy arms and pudgy stomach. I want to be toned or at least feel healthy. I was extremely underweight when I came back from Waterloo. Now that I have fatten up. It's time to strive for a healthy heart and body. (Although that is going to be hard due to my Thalassemia).

This is probably the most "exercise" I did this year D:

I flew a kite

Yesturday, B came over early in the morning. Early enough that we went back to sleep. Then we attempted to make Miso soup, but much to our disappointment, there was no tofu. Tofu is everything and should be in everything. So I gave up and we tried to make congee. I guess congee also failed because my mom took over. Doesn't seem like much of a day huh? Until we went to the park (first time back to the park since who knows..) and I FLEW A KITE! I didn't use up all the line. Nonetheless, I was so damn happy. So happy that I didn't even know B was taking a picture or video of me screaming of joy. Everyone should fly a kite at least once a year :)

Probably won't have any new pictures up until I get that damn remote to work on my dslr.

Rain GO AWAY, but wind can stay :D

Lamb Placenta

Did you know, people in Hong Kong use HUMAN PLACENTA for beauty purposes? So using lamb or whale or seal placenta is NOT nasty AHEM joannne. Anyways, during the dry winter seasons I tried this lamb placenta from UNCLE BILL. Total asian brand. It's typically just facial oil. Since I have super dry skin, it's perfect for me.
Each bead looks like this.
It has a tip where you can cut off and squeeze the oil out and apply onto your skin.
There is a unique scent from this, but it doesn't bother me. After putting it on, I notice that water repels from my skin since water and oil don't mix. Just something I thought was interesting.

Anyhow, I have driving lesson tomorrow morning @ 9:00!! I already wanted to beat the shit out of the Fedex dude who came to deliver my glasses at 10am this morning! @!$#@! Tell you about the glasses in another post.

CIAO.

Inspiration?

Like my new layout? I used to have wicked designs for my layout. But all those practices on Asianavenue, Zuup, etc. seemed to have left me. So I was stuck and desperate for inspiration. I went to the semi-annual Lisa's Cosmetics warehouse sale for perfumes and beauty products this year and I scored myself a Vera Wang Princess Set. The packaging is so cute! So I was inspired by this to make my background. It was either this or my pink striped Shiseido box (top right of the photo; note: it's only the lid shown here.)
I don't use this scent that often cause I get headaches from too much strong scents.
It comes with a mini bottle of parfum and a body lotion

Betta

The best low maintenance fish ever! Check out mine: I had him/her for half a year now.

BISH:
This is baby's betta:
My sister has one as well, but the tank is so dirty so I didn't bother taking a picture.

Does this bag of fish food look like its worth $3? Fish food is so expensive or did I just get ripped off again?

HIATUS?

I'm not even sure if I spell the title right. To what I know it's suppose to mean being away for a period of time or at least something along that line. Well, to be honest. I wasn't doing shit. I was just too lazy to post up my pictures. Ha, what a fail blogger. I should just get myself a Crackberry and twitter whatever is on my mind at that moment. So simple. But who's gonna follow me? I only know 3 people with those gadgets and I'm not sure if they even bother using that function. Sigh. I'll be more diligent with my blog.

Just eating some kimchi instant noodles with chongga while waiting for Mr. Workaholic to call.
