The Beginning

Okay. Since this is my first blog post, I should probably start with an introduction or something. However, let me tell you the first thing you'll know about me. I'm extremely lazy. I don't want write a long boring intro about me when I'm not being graded on it :P You'll get to learn me as you follow along with my blog. So either subscribe or bookmark this blog if you like.

So basically, I started a blog so that my family and friends can find out what I am doing while I'm away for university. Here I'm going to talk about the highlights and the not so great life of a student living far from home.

I'm a full-time student enrolled in the School of Accounting and Finance in the University of Waterloo. I moved in 4 days ago. The school is currently having a week long orientation for the freshmen. My class starts Sept. 14th however as a AFM (accounting and financial management)student my orientation continues on for another week. I actually don't see it as a good thing because by then my classes have started and I would have to attend the orientation after class at night till 9:30pm. I will be back at my residence really late and on top of that I would have readings and notes to write from class.

Here's a map of my campus. In my opinion, it's gigantic. Although it takes me probably 5 minutes to get on campus ground, my farthest class would take me probably 15+ minutes. Also, I would also have 7+lbs. of textbooks on my right shoulders since I forgot to bring my backpack :S

I'm currently living with 3 of my friends in a suite style residence. Therefore, we have a living room, a kitchen, 2 bathrooms and a room for each of us. Unfortunately, I was assigned the smallest room and I feel like I'm living in my closet at home ): Here's some pictures of my room the day I moved in. I guarantee it's not going to look like this after a few more visits back home to get some more personal belongings. Yesturday, I slept at 5:30 in the morning and I woke up at 8am for a fire drill. It's been like this all week long. I don't even live in the party residences and I'm already feeling exhausted. Where do these people get their energy from ?! Anyways, I'll continue to update this blog whenever I'm back home. Here's a glimpse of the night life here:
